Our Story — African Cuisine
African Cuisine was born from a simple realisation: African home-cooked food was becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially for people living away from home.
As an African living in South Africa, I grew up understanding that food is more than just something we eat. It carries our culture, our memories, our traditions and our sense of home. The taste of a home-cooked African meal can remind you of family, community and where you come from.
I noticed an opportunity to bring that feeling of home to people who were missing it.
That is how African Cuisine was born.
Our vision is to create a space where people can enjoy authentic African-inspired home-cooked meals while celebrating the richness and diversity of African culture. We want our food to feel familiar to those who grew up eating it and exciting to those discovering it for the first time.
Being rooted in Africa and operating in South Africa, we believe in celebrating our African roots while bringing them into a modern environment.
From traditional favourites to everyday comfort meals, every dish is prepared with the idea that good food should feel like home.
Our Purpose
To bring the taste of African home cooking closer to the people.
We want African Cuisine to be more than just a place to buy food. We want it to be a celebration of African identity, culture, community and tradition—one meal at a time.
